I play with a drakes pride professional size 4H non grip, have used them indoors and outside for about 5 years, I find them to have an easy line to read line, with a even draw back to the centre, and not too wide, but wide enough draw to play all positions with, I also find them good on most pace surfaces, which is why I changed from my Henselite Classic II bowls which I used for about the same time, I lead all of the time and play a lot of singles play, and found these ideal, but the one problem was playing on dodgy greens, they just would not come back to the jack, always finding any runs in the green.  I have also used Henselite championship which I started with, also Taylor Truline, and the Taylor International, which I used for a short while.

Tiger 5 outdoors and Green Tiger 4 Indoors. Excellent bowl for both front and back end. Can be inconsistent outdoors on early heavy greens as they tend to "dig" in.

I use Henselite Classic D for indoors size 5, I need a smaller size outside as when wet hard for me to hold.

Might as well use this board for what its intended so

Heres my question..

Who bowls with what? What bowls do you consider better and why?

I use Drakes Pride Excel, there a low- density bowl which run on like old woods did.

There slighty wider than Taylors Elite but are basically the same thing, a lo-density polished bowl.

Personally i prefer the old K reg Taylors they follow the land far better than any new taylors. I think the new taylors are too tall. Drakes, however, drift far too much especially the new models.

G I Ace Taylors for me. Played with Drakes for 10-12 years. Last 2 years playing with Taylors find they are a truer bowl. Drakes slightly on the weak side and stand tall so if your delivery is not smooth they will wobble more when bowl released  than Taylors as Taylors  are more rounded, and sit on the ground better.  Drakes are better runners though
