The first person to come to mind would be David Bryant, his singles exploits in the Commonwealth games, World Championships, indoor and outside, and national championshipswould take some beating, but then I think of Andy Thompson, all those national titles indoors, the world champioships, he has to be the modern day David Bryant, but what about the record breaking Alex Marshall, and Paul Foster who could still beat them all, not forgetting players past like Tony Alcock, Richard Corsie, and of course Willie Wood, its a hard choice, but I think I would still have to go with David Bryant, he was such a legend when I was sstarting to play in the 70's, and remains somewhat of a bowls icon.
