Narrow drawing bowls can be an advantage if you are playing on an end rink indoors and can't get enough green, but in most cases, I  think a mid bias bowl gives you a greater range of shots.  I disagree that narrow drawing bowls are making the game too easy, they can be very difficult for relative beginners to play with if they have not learnt to bowl a good weight, as they will sail on past the head, without getting any draw at all.
